Various installation-related issues may occur after fitting off-road front/rear bumpers and chassis skid plates. We have compiled common on-site faults, causes and corresponding solutions.

1. Symptom: L2 autonomous driving triggers fault codes, radar detection abnormal after front bumper installation
Cause: Misaligned L2 module angle or wiring harness squeezed by brackets.
Solution: Reset the L2 module to factory mounting angle, rearrange wiring to avoid squeezing. Perform power-on self-check and road test after installation.
2. Symptom: False radar alerts, continuous warning without obstacles
Cause: Misaligned radar sensor, bumper edge blocks detection area.
Solution: Check radar sensor position, remove obstructions and adjust sensor angle to ensure no interference.
3. Symptom: Stock rear fog lamp fails to work after rear bumper installation
Cause: Loose or damaged fog lamp wiring, poorly sealed connector.
Solution: Cut off power, inspect wiring connectors, apply waterproof treatment and re-seat connectors, then test lights.
4. Symptom: Constant vibration noise from skid plates during off-road driving
Cause: Hard contact between skid plate and chassis, loose bolts and insufficient clearance.
Solution: Reposition skid plates and leave buffer gaps. Tighten all bolts to specified torque and recheck fasteners after off-road trips.
5. Symptom: Tow hook wobbles with excessive play after installation
Cause: Tow hook not fully seated in receiver, safety pin unlocked.
Solution: Fully insert tow hook into receiver and lock safety pin. Inspect tow connection before every off-road trip.
6. Symptom: Dismantling skid plates is inconvenient for chassis maintenance
Cause: No maintenance access opening on skid plate.
Solution: Select skid plates with reserved service openings. If no opening available, reserve operating space during installation to avoid full disassembly for maintenance.
Note: Always prioritize non-destructive installation. Do not cut body panels forcibly. For complicated electronic failures, seek professional support from modification shops.
